Delfina, Sole e Corrada (unusual names as the unexpected label) have clear ideas; transforming the ever-green outerwear in a modern but classic way to dress. Blazé Milano, founded in 2016 links comfort, precious textiles and unmistakable Italian taste.

The jacket, symbol of male elegance and charm, is taken apart, interpreted, studied and at the end realized for her. For the spring summer 2016 collection Sartoria Vico transposes on design suggestions like fresh air smell and raibow-coloured horizons. In the color palette the main tints are light and warm. Ochre, bright red and pink let the mind travel to a summer sunset while black, grey and white tones are neutral and always perfect. The knitting techniques switch between symmetric and regular lines and open and blurred forms, everything balanced moving. Sciumé creations are synonymous of personality and brilliant uniqueness. From 2012 Valentina Sciumé, graduated from the Fashion Academy in Rome, transposes elaborate structures on jewels choosing unexpected and charming solutions. The collections’ design, union of elegance and innovation, shows an high artisanal awareness that the designer learned from the most important Italian fashion atelier like Alberto Biani, Costume National and Versace.

For the spring-summer 2016 collection called Animae, Valentina develops the theme of Sicily from a picturesque point of view studying the lava as the artistic element. The incandescent substance represents the metamorphosis of the jewel becoming surreal object. Volcanic stones and raw crystals enliven the gold geometrical and rigid surfaces giving energy to the accessories. In a mix of reflections, shadows and light the aim is to create on the jewel the contrast between hot and cold, lava and icy metal.

The designer transforms the accessories in original and eclectic objects with an upstream style using hands and wrists as basis for geometrical and architectural structures. The material experimentation is for Valentina Sciumé reason of never-ending inspiration and motivation. Unique is the fall-winter 2015-2016 collection presenting little colored marbles moving between lacquer metal frames on top of the jewels. Round and angular volumes, made also of marble, alternate in a captivating joint game.

Charming and perceptive is the essence of Miryaki, brand based in Milan born in 2010 thanks to the artistic alchemy of the creative duo Mia Vilardo and Riccardo Polidoro. The collections are a mix of structured aesthetic and unexpected energy. The aim is to experience the couture dress in the ordinary life. Miryaki’s inspirations are taken as a deep study about street culture seen from an odd and revolutionary point of view. The contemporary habits and gestures are raised to art and enriched of precious concept; an urban couture with harmonious and theatrical contrasts.

The spring-summer 2016 collection is called Pop Synthesis and it’s a praise to essentiality and measured geometries. In a sequence of primary shapes and outlines, the designers proffers soft and flexible outfits preferring light but structured fabrics. Perfect for a romantic and dreamlike mood, the clothing mention the exotic landscape while feathered details represent a sweet desire of imagination and freedom. Pastel colors like mint green and candy pink are matched with lighter tints like blue and red moving the silhouette lines.

Miryaki is the synonymous of delicate but surprising femininity with colors, contrasts and contours as protagonists of an essential eccentricity making practical clothing an irrational perfection.

In the man fashion week panorama in Milan, White fair from the 16th till the 18th of January has been such a great event to enjoy. For one of the most important fashion date every season, Tortona street has been colored of white to welcome the main trends for the next wintertime. The carefully selected group of international designers showing their collections is a cultural reference for buyers and press specialists and synonymous of avant-garde and irresistible creativity.

Research and technology have been the key-words this season and start up brands has been the real highlight of the event. The contemporary fashion shown every time during White Milano has won the Regione Lombardia competition announcement for the support of new talented designers and artisans. Among the best, the collections of the brands History Repeats by Michele Rossi (Torino), Edith Marcel (Milano) and Momonì (Treviso).

Anything but random the choice to put in the central location of the exposition the area called “La tradizione e il valore del bello”, dedicated to the Italian craftsmanship and artisanal knowledge, still crucial in the fashion panorama worldwide.

Last but not least the Sportswear and Wok Room area where urban style and underground mood met innovation and dedication. Corelate (Italy), Yii (Malaysia) and Nosomnia (Denmark) are my favorite examples.
